Kforce .NET Developer with Java in San Antonio, Texas
Kforce is seeking a .NET Developer for a San Antonio, Texas (TX) client.The day to day responsibilities are as follows:
Contribute as a development resource and lead on small to mid-level projects
Prepare level of effort estimates
Participate and contribute to code review sessions
Participate in project and IT sub-team meetings as a development resource and SME
Submit and maintain accurate progress/status reports to management as needed
Provide technical guidance, knowledge transfer and continuously mentor fellow IT staff members for creating backup resources for all applications
Development:
Develop new applications and modify existing applications
Deliver high quality/low defect code releases
Provide transition documentation to UAT and support teams
Provide testing support to QA and UAT teams
Deploy releases to test and production environments
Follow defined change control process
Support:
Participate in on-call support
Take ownership of incidents within the SLAs
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
Support team members to resolve complex issues
Track and respond to service requests
Work with vendors as needed for system issue resolution, maintenance and upgrades
Monitor and maintain systems as needed to ensure system availability
Document support issues to maintain a support repository for the team
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Core Java and Java Enterprise Edition (JavaEE), JSP
Strong relational database experience using one of the RDBMS like DB2, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
Web Application development using one of the following frameworks: SEAM, Struts, Spring, JSF, or Grails
Experience using more than one of the following: JBoss, Glassfish, WebLogic, WebSphere, Tomcat
Experience working in and deploying to UNIX and Windows based environment
Experience using automation build tools like ANT, Maven, etc.
Experience using continuous integration tools like Genkins, Teamcity, Bamboo, etc.
Web Services development experience using SOAP and REST
Experience with source control tools like SVN, TFS, GitHub
Preferred experience:
Contact Center IVR experience is a plus
Experience utilizing Service now for ITSM processes is a plus
