Description of Job Duties
Collaborate and work closely with university partners, including Office of the Registrar, Academic Advising Centers, Office of Institutional Research, Orientation, administrators, faculty, and academic departments.
Organize, manage, maintain, support, and evaluate FYE programs and initiatives for first-year students.
Create, plan, implement, and evaluate program curricula.
Conduct program assessment, including analyzing, reporting, and presenting outcomes.
Collaborate on coordinating peer mentor recruitment, hiring, and training.
6 Directly supervise a team of peer mentors. This includes facilitating, weekly team meetings, conducting performance evaluation, and providing staff development.
Present FYE programs and initiatives to first-year students, university stakeholders and community partners.
Manage and maintain department’s social media accounts, department email, and/or website.
Perform other duties as assigned.
NOTE: There are two vacancies. In addition to the above duties, each coordinator will manage a specific FYE program/initiative: University Peer Mentorship (UPM 1000) or the block schedule initiative.
