At Select Rehabilitation Hospital our services have been designed for patients who need a longer rehabilitation hospitalization for their recovery. We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse – Wound Care to join our team.
Overview of Select Medical Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospitals
Select Medical’s Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospitals provide advanced treatment and comprehensive care to best address the medical, physical, emotional and vocational challenges for individuals with:
Spinal Cord Injury
Plan and organize direct patient care and operational activities in the Hyperbaric and Wound Care Center in collaboration with the Program Director.This includes but are not limited to utilization of skills in organization, leadership, planning, implementing, evaluating and providing care as it relates to the age and specific needs of the patient.
Works within the framework of the State Nurse Practice Act and follows all Select Medical policies and procedures.
The RN complies with hospital, Wound Care & Hyperbaric Department, and nursing standards in the performance of job duties and responsibilities.
The RN supports the goals and objectives of Select Medical and The Wound Care & Hyperbaric Department.
The HBO trained RN in this position will act as the outside attendant and control operator during clinical treatment using monoplace hyperbaric (HBO) chambers.
This individual accepts responsibility and accountability for working within the framework of appropriate regulatory body where it applies and follows all Wound Care & Hyperbaric Department, and Select Medical policies and procedures.
The individual will comply with hospital and nursing philosophy and standards while performing job duties and responsibilities and will demonstrate competence in these essential functions.
A Registered Professional Nurse provides direct patient care and functions as part of the Nursing Team. Uses the nursing process for systematically assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care to maximize restoration and maintenance of the patient’s physical, psychological, spiritual health and goals.
Serves as an educator of patients, families and coworkers.
Minimum Education & Experience (Including Licenses)
Nursing Degree required (RN).
Current and valid state licensure as a Registered Nurse required.
BSN or enrollment in BSN program preferred.
Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
WOCN or other national certification in wound care.
Experience in an outpatient wound care setting
