Other Computer and Software Skills Required
Personal computer, various desktop publishing software and Microsoft Office, and standard office equipment.
Experience and Other Skills Required
Seven years of experience in public relations, communications, writing/editing, marketing, or web publishing.
Demonstrated understanding of English language usage, writing styles, grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Superlative writing and verbal communication skills.
Ability to organize and track projects and tasks, to maintain time schedules, and to maintain attention to detail while managing multiple priorities.
Ability to understand and creatively solve complex problems in a deadline driven environment.

Description of Job Duties
Write, edit, and manage effective development messages, communications and collateral materials including, but not limited to: case statements, proposals, media announcements, executive presentations and correspondence, and online materials.
Meet with development staff, deans, and faculty to gather information needed to produce fundraising communication materials.
Stay up-to-date with the university’s priorities, including fundraising needs among the colleges and programs.
Serve as liaison between Development and University Marketing & Communications; project manage development-related efforts to ensure deadlines are met.
Assists with developing and managing the overall brand and image of the Office of Development.
Maintain ongoing calendar with deadlines and status of proposals and applications.
In collaboration with the Donor Relations team, coordinate communication efforts related to donor stewardship including writing donor stories, and developing scholar and donor profiles
Perform other duties as assigned
