University of Texas Health Science Center Sheetmetal Worker-Intermediate in San Antonio, Texas
This position will provide skilled craftsmanship as a sheet metal worker performing heating and ventilation (HVAC) sheet metal fabrication, modification, and installation in the construction, alteration, repair and maintenance of buildings.
Builds/fabricates duct work for building mechancial systems involving transitions, connections, seams and joints.
Percentage Of Time 25
Installs duct work, terminal air devices, dampers, and other system components for ventilation and exhaust machinery.
Percentage Of Time 45
Installs finish trim for HVAC systems, including registers, grills and outlets.
Percentage Of Time 15
Provides material takeoffs, plans HVAC projects under the direction of the Sheet metal shop leader, and asists in the training of apprentance and journeymen skilled workers in the trade.
Percentage Of Time 10
Other duties as assigned.
